Dr. Jaganathan is a Physician and Research
Scientist with 19 years of combined experience
in Medical practice, Management and Simulation
Technology. He started his career as a flying
doctor with a Fortune Global 500 oil & natural
gas corporation in the
year 1990 immediately after his medical graduation.
Later he practiced as a family physician
and served as a medical director until the
year 2000.
He also graduated with a Master of Science
degree in Health Services Administration from the
University of Central Florida with a focus
on Medical Informatics. He started his career
as a Research Scientist with the Institute
for Simulation and Training in the year 2000
and specialized in the area of medical and
surgical simulation. He was instrumental in
developing a number of research projects in the area
of healthcare simulation as well as pioneered "interactive
surgical simulation."
Currently he is the program director of the
interdisciplinary graduate program (master’s and
doctoral) in modeling and simulation at the
University of Central Florida. He is a founding
member of the
"Society for Simulation in Healthcare" and
an editorial board member for the journal Simulation
in Healthcare along with scholars from some
of the best medical schools in the United States.
He also serves on the review committee for
the American Institute of Biological Sciences
(National Academy of Sciences) and Congressionally
Directed Medical Research Programs–PRMRP.
He has mentored more than 100 graduate students
and helped them succeed.
Dr. Jaganathan is an associate
faculty member of the UCF College of Medicine.

Dr. Jaganathan: A former National
Champion, National Sports scholar and a National
Merit Scholar. An award for significant contribution
to community and preventive medicine in 1994.
Dr. Jaganathan is a member of the American
College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). ACHE
is an international professional society of
healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare
systems and other healthcare organizations.
