In the almost 25 years of my own software engineering career, primarily in telecommunications, there have been a variety of challenging problems to solve and programming environments to use, and the deep sense of satisfaction in producing well-engineered systems. Most of the systems I produced involved modeling and simulation to some extent.

My experience led me to believe that to be involved in interesting problems you really must be a life long learner. Most recently I took a doctorate in M&S since it is the thread that weaves together all my experiences. Along the way I acquired four patents for two major software research projects. Problem solving and demonstrating a solution are the excitement I find in engineering and look forward to sharing with you.
