The Department of Information Systems Technologies (DIST) offers information technology consulting, application development, and systems services utilizing the latest technologies in information systems and the public Internet. Advanced World Wide Web SQL applications are developed to support data manipulation, workflow, and decision-making. DIST develops and hosts TCP/IP client-server applications and websites for government (e.g., National Institute of Justice, US Air Force, US Navy, US Army), academia (e.g., College of Health & Public Affairs, UCF Writing Center, UCF Graduate Studies, UCF Office of Research), non-profit organizations (e.g., Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization) and others.

Mrs. McClellan is responsible for building client relationships, establishing organizational goals, and attracting new business. She oversees a budget of approximately $1.5 million in contracts and a diverse staff of 16 employees consisting of research faculty, information and network engineers, graphics artists and other support personnel. Her experience in the information field, specifically the World Wide Web, makes her a pioneer in the field.
