Beautiful," is one of the world's premier tourist destinations

Traffic
on I-4 Sitting in traffic on
I-4 during rush hour (which is practically
all day long) is about as exciting
as getting a root canal. A typical
rationalization for this asphaltic
asphyxia is "Hey, you should see the traffic in [fill in any
large urban area north of the Florida state line]." Seriously,
though, traffic on I-4 moves relatively
smoothly, morning and afternoon commute
periods excepted, but (a) Expect a
short delay if any car along the metro
portion of I-4 is stopped on the shoulder.
(b) Expect a medium delay if that car
is sporting law enforcement decals
or lights. (c) Expect a longer delay
if (a) and (b) are together. (d) Expect
your delay to be interminable if you
really really need to be somewhere
and any one of the above is in effect.
A worthwhile tactic is to get off at
the next exit ramp and see if you can
find your way around all the downtown
lakes. You won't get to your destination
any quicker, but you'll have some interesting
stories.
