The institute is in the University of Central Florida Partnership II
building in the Central Florida Research Park adjacent the
university's main campus. The research park is a hub of modeling,
simulation and training research and acquisition. The Naval Air
Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAVAIR TSD) and U.S. Air
Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation are within walking distance.
Partnership II is also home to U.S. Marine Corps Program Manager for
Training Systems and elements of the Army's Program Executive Office
for Simulation Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI).
More than 140 simulation-related
government, academic and corporate entities have facilities in the
Central Florida high-tech corridor that follows Interstate 4 across the state from Daytona Beach to
Orlando to Tampa Bay.
IST's former headquarters building on
Progress Drive in the research park still houses the institute's human
resources office, major simulation
labs and the Department of Information Systems Technology. The
National Center for Simulation headquarters is located at this
address. Click on the marker, below for our building addresses. You
also can click and drag or zoom the map, or choose a satellite view
(current imagery shows only a tree-covered lot, but—we promise—Partnership
II is really right there).
