Background
Bruce Caulkins is the Director for the Modeling and Simulation of Behavioral Cybersecurity Program at the University of Central Florida (UCF). In this capacity, he conducts research and teaches four complementary graduate-level courses in behavioral cyber at UCF. In 2015, he retired with 28 years of active duty service in the Army, and was fortunate to be able to pursue graduate degrees in pursuit of higher education in the information technology, modeling and simulation, and cybersecurity fields of study. His employment in the Army – especially the years running schools at Fort Gordon and working as the J65 Chief at US Pacific Command, running their Cyber Strategy, Plans, Policy, and Exercises Division – further allowed him to be able to use that knowledge gained in graduate school. His division at PACOM was responsible for the cyberspace strategy, policy, contingency planning, and exercise preparations within the command’s Joint Cyber Center.
