Dr. Mohsen Rakhshan, the director of the Laboratory for Interaction of Machine and Brain (LIMB), joined the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 2023. Prior to his appointment at UCF, he served as a Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow in Neural Engineering at Johns Hopkins Medical School. Dr. Rakhshan holds a Ph.D. in Computational and Cognitive Neuroscience from Dartmouth College. He also possesses two master’s degrees, one in Signals and Systems from the University of Notre Dame and another in Control Theory and Dynamical Systems from Shiraz University of Technology. Additionally, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Shiraz University.
His research interests encompass the development of sensory-enabled technologies and environments for training, simulation, and rehabilitation purposes.
