A Collaborative Center for Research and Academia

UCF works with industry, government, the Department of Defense, and more, serving as the Academic anchor and epicenter for Central Florida’s $6.5-7 billion Modeling & Simulation industry.

The School and Institute are located in the Central Florida Research Park, adjacent to the UCF main campus. As the world’s largest cluster of modeling, simulation and training companies, Research Park is home to the National Center for Simulation and Training as well as the nation’s Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines simulation operations. It is in the heart of the “Florida High Tech Corridor” between Daytona Beach and Tampa where over 200 companies specialize in simulation- and training-related research.

The School serves as UCF’s representative on Team Orlando, an interservice, collaborative military partnership between all four services in Central Florida that emphasizes innovative, emerging technologies.

The School and Institute are a focal point for research in simulation technology for many groups in the Orlando community and beyond, touching all industry sectors. Our world-class research faculty:
