
Sean Mondesire, Ph.D.
Innovative research by lead author Sean Mondesire, Ph.D., Assistant Professor and Director of the Human-centered Artificial Intelligence Lab at the IST, was awarded “Best Paper” honors at the recently held Association of Computing Machinery’s Practice and Experience in Advanced Research Computing (PEARC) Conference 2025 in Ohio. The paper, “Automating HPC Software Compilation, Deployment, and Error Resolution through an LLM-based Multi-Agent System,” explores how chain-of-thought reasoning and multi-agent LLMs can automate software building and testing in high-performance computing systems.
Co-authors of the winning work include IST Associate Research Scientist Bulent Soykan, Ph.D., and IST Associate Professor and Director of the Interactive Realities Lab Glenn Martin, Ph.D.
